Fuzzy stuff is fun but annoying

I received my fuzzy stuff (Rainbow Gallery Wisper) for my Christmas ornament exchange and finished the stitching. I don't know how to fuzzy it up after stitching. Matt suggested a tooth brush, so I may give that a try. So, I'll have an ornament and a little extra piece for the exchange. I may be able to finish it up tomorrow.

I've also been working on the piece for the New Year's exchange. I went to Wal-Mart and got the fabric and little things I'll need. I still have some wording to stitch around the outside, and there's an extra piece I want to stitch too. I also have to make a button with clay. I think I can do that as opposed to ordering a novelty button. Should be interesting! This should keep me busy for a while.

And of course I can't share any pics because it's secret. Argh.

The Awakening has gotten some attention but not nearly enough. Seriously, once these pieces are done....

Matt looked at the bills today and totaled up everything we spent on credit cards thus far in the year. Scary! Apparently I just had a big month of stitching stuff in October. I averaged about $100 a month, which isn't too bad. I just need to be good for a while. So how much is "normal"? Do you know how much you spend? Are you afraid to look?

I probably spend anywhere between A$50 and A$100 a month on stitching stuff, although some months I will not buy anything, and then other months I will make up for lost spending - lol!

I have to admit I am afraid to look.
I did a rough calculation last year and it was a terrible amount. This year I vowed to keep all my receipts and keep tally but that fell by the wayside in January (much too much again). Now that I am on the 10 project challenge I have slowed down a little on the stashing (only a little though!)

Matt has found his inner stitcher, that is exactly what you're supposed to do with the Whisper. :D

I know how much I spend on stash as I'm only one who's paying it and I don't own any actual credit card (my virtual Visa is prepaid so I kind of have to know)... ~30€/month, but noticing that I'm in limited income... Stash is important. :P

Fuzzy stuff first- I take my needle and gently tease the little fibers away from the fabric holes that they are stuck in. It almost feels as though I am scraping the stitching. I did this way for my DD Just a Little Piece and Quiet.

Money on Stitching- I average between 40-50 a month with some months where I don't spend anything. Example, I spend 44 dollars in Oct. In Sept. I spent 12 on a gift pattern. Last Aug. it was 55 dollars spent at Silkweavers. July, I spent 65 but I was on vacation and there was an awesome store in Cody, WY. I buy what I can easily afford. I budget my stitching money in with my entertainment money. If I buy stitching supplies then I can't buy a DVD or go to the movies. I consider framing to be a different type of expense.

I've been really good recently, put myself on the wagon and everything since we moved into the new house in September. Before that I was spending $50-$100. I've had all my stash out to organize it in my new craft room and I keep finding "new" stuff I forgot I had though so I'm pretty happy.

I think I have spent about $100 per month on average, but it does vary.

As for the fuzzy stuff when I used it I also used a small brush and it worked.
