Managing

Logan is being very fussy, so a good part of his day is spent screaming his head off. The Mylicon drops are helping, and I'm going to try adjusting my diet. We're getting the hang of this thing, but sometimes it's just so disheartening. Driving Logan around in the truck or taking him for a walk in the stroller causes him to pass out, but when he gets home, he's just as upset. He's also a little yellow, but the walks will help that.

Here's a funny. Logan is very strong. He really hates for his hands to be constrained, so we have trouble swaddling him. Matt swaddled him, left for a minute, and when he got back, Logan had one hand out of the swaddling and was giving him the middle finger. Unfortunately we weren't quick enough to snap a photo.

No stitching yet. I think I'm going into withdrawal.

Oh I can sympathize. I know just what it's like (I've had three) and a week from now you'll be amazed that you made it! Good luck and try to rest when you can. The stitching will come in time - I think it took me a few weeks to really get back into it. Take care!

You're doing fine :) I found the first two weeks after we got home the hardest, then we just all seemed to slot into a routine. Patrick, no matter how well he was wrapped, could still get his arms out and he still sleeps with his arms above his head. One mistake I made was staying up at night after Patrick had gone to sleep. Go to bed when he goes to bed, if you can, and never ever turn down offers of help.
((((hugs)))

Poor baby! Try laying him on his tummy across your lap and see it that will ease him some. Hopefully, the rocking motion will help. Thankfully, this doesn't last forever.

By the time six weeks are past, you'll feel like you've been doing this (and doing it pretty darn well!!) all your life. I know that may not seem helpful now, but these first days and weeks really do pass by fast. And it becomes more and more enjoyable. Really!!

Not having kids of my own, I can't advise you, but I hope he settles down soon.

Thanks for the good wishes too - hopefully I'll actually keep to this list!

Congratulations with the birth of your new son.
I read he was delivered by vacuum. Baby's tend to get headaches from that, so that can also explain the midnight screaming.

Congratulations on the birth of Logan. Just hang in there, things will smooth out eventually. In the meantime, get lots of rest. The first few weeks are always a little crazy. Take care.

Ayame hated being swaddled too. The only thing that worked was a product called Swaddle Me. We got it at Babies R Us. It has velcro and A was never able to undo them and stayed warm at night.

The first few weeks are the hardest. It does get better though, trust me.
