Maggie update

I finally finished all the stitching! Now I need to do the part I've dreaded, the backstitching. After reading the instructions, it's not as bad as I thought, but there's a lot of it. Hopefully the next update will show it completed!

My mom offered to get a piece framed for me, so I've decided to send Jill Rensel my TW Castle Sampler to get framed. I may also send The Awakening, my big HAED piece, and pay for that myself. I'm terrified of mailing them, but Jill does such great work at affordable prices that I just need to do it.

Good news: My husband passed the FE exam, which is a precursor to becoming a PE, a professional engineer (the rest includes working with a PE for five years and then taking the PE test). I am so proud of him.

You are a hero, really! Good luck with backstitch (I'm stitching Max in the Adirondacks from Dimensions now, and backstitch is frightening me :) )

Congratulations with your husband success!

Best wishes,
Tatyana

Wow! What a great piece! Don't be afraid to mail stuff to Jill. I have had many pieces framed by her and I have had no problem. I always mail the pieces to her via USPS Priority Mail.

Wow, Maggie looks utterly awesome! I have that kit in my stash, for 'someday'. I can't wait to see the backstitching as you progress!
Um... I'm not trying to be a busybody or anything, but I work part time for USPS, and if you get Delivery Confirmation on your package, it will save a world of worry. DC has to be scanned, counted, the numbers written down, and missing or misplacing a package gets you in MAJOR trouble. It's only 80 cents at its most expensive, so it's really, really worth it. Just a thought :D

Maggie is so beautiful! I love it! Congratulations! About a year ago I saw a completed Maggie at my local framer's and it made my jaw drop. Absolutely stunning. I admire you for undertaking it!
