Lady of Shalott progress

Here's my progress on TW's Lady of Shalott. Those curtains took a while to do! I've been involved with an online game, Runes of Magic, so I haven't been spending as much time stitching. I've also been enjoying my Kindle. As a wonder, it's allowing me to let go of some of my paperbacks, which have been doing nothing but taking up space for many years. You can't keep everything.

I'm regretting my choice of fabric for this one. I think I should have gone for the tea-dyed fabric the chart called for. I thought it would be mostly covered by stitching, but it shows in the mirror. Too late now!

Diet: I've been doing well with my diet since Lap-Band surgery. I hear horror stories of people throwing up all the time with the band, but fortunately I have not thrown up once since I got home. I've lost 43 pounds so far. I'm averaging a pound a week -- slow but steady. I did get a second tightening of the band. My hunger is under control, but I can still eat bad things if I want to. Sometimes when I get tired or overwhelmed, I resort to the bad food again, but at least I can't pig out like I used to.

I think LoS looks great! And couldn't you just fill in parts? (Sorry, don't have this chart, so I can't tell.)
Great news about the diet~

Brilliant progress!!

I'm really happy the lapband is working for you. 1lb a week is a really safe rate of weight loss

Hi, just stumbled across your blog and like what I see.

I've thought about doing the Lady of Shalott, but keep chickening out of such a major commitment. Looking forward to watching your progress.

Congratulations on the weight loss. It's hard work no matter what method you choose and you deserve to be applauded.

Your TW is looking fabulous! Maybe you could selectively tea dye that little piece of fabric that shows? I am thinking a Q-tip and some coffee :) Congrats on your weight loss, too!

"Lady" is looking beautiful!! I am soooo jealous! I want a Kindle too! My hubby said that when my TBR shelf is down to ten books on it he'll get me one....that will take me about 2-3 years, as there are nearly 200 books I own and still need to get to! I am addicted to buying books! Oh well. I think a Kindle would be so convenient when I travel, not to have to lug around 3 or 4 books at a time!

LoS is looking FANTASTIC!

Congrats on dropping over 40lbs so far!

I must admit its hard not to resort to bad food choices when we're tired, sick, unhappy or feeling like crap.

Its all about control and moderation!
